Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to provide to us. Specifically:

• Contact form submissions. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the subject line you enter, and the message you send. These messages are routed to us via FormSubmit (formsubmit.co).
• Donations. Donations are processed entirely by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment card details, billing address, and email; KWF does not see or store your full payment card number. We receive donor name, email, and donation amount for our records and tax-receipt obligations.
• Event registration. Race signups for our annual Karen for a Kause event are handled by RaceRoster (raceroster.com). The information collected there is governed by RaceRoster's privacy policy.
• Ticket purchases. Ticket sales for fundraisers (e.g., Music Bingo) are processed by Stripe, on the same basis as donations described above.

We do not currently run analytics or advertising trackers on the Site, and we do not set non-essential cookies.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to inquiries you send through the contact form.
• Acknowledge donations and issue tax receipts as required by U.S. law.
• Coordinate sponsor and partner relationships when you reach out about sponsorship opportunities.
• Send occasional updates about KWF events to people who have expressly asked to hear from us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Service Providers We Rely On

To operate the Site we rely on a small number of third-party services. Each handles your information under its own privacy policy:

• Stripe — payment processing for donations and ticket sales.
• RaceRoster — race registration.
• FormSubmit — relays contact-form messages to our inbox.
• Hosting provider — serves the Site itself. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, request time) may be kept for security and troubleshooting and are typically retained for a short period.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Mad Dash race entries for children under 13 are registered by a parent or guardian through RaceRoster.

Your Choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have provided to us. To make a request, email us at info@karensfoundation.org. We will respond within a reasonable time. Please note that we may need to retain certain donation records to comply with our tax and accounting obligations even after a deletion request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the homepage or by direct email to people who have opted in to hear from us.
